Nothing is as synonymous with Hawaii as the pineapple. Our passion is to share the history, culture, and hard work that goes into producing this iconic fruit. Nestled in Hali'imaile in upcountry Maui, the small tour begins in an air-conditioned vehicle that transports you into the pineapple fields. While traveling through them, knowledgeable guides explain the planting and harvesting techniques of the pineapple and show how plantation workers still cultivate the fruit by hand. Visitors are able to observe the growing cycles of pineapples as well as stop in the fields to taste several varieties. Our pineapple was made famous by its extra sweet flavor and can't be found anywhere else in the world. Nothing tastes sweeter than a hand-picked, machete-cut pineapple straight from the fields. After exploring the plantation, guests are guided through the processing factory and shown how pineapple is tested, sorted, and packaged. Everyone on tour receives a boxed Maui Gold pineapple as a take home gift. This pineapple can be easily taken through the airport for seamless travel back to the mainland U.S.

Note
- Check in is 15 minutes prior to your tour and is located at the Maui Pinneapple Store, 870 Hali'imaile Rd, Hali'imaile, HI. (moved to new location 2025)
- Children under 3 are not allowed. We will not refund parties that show up with children under 3 and cannot attend.
- Free parking is available on site at 870 Hali’imaile Rd or in the overflow lot at the Hali’imaile Distillery.
- Not ADA Accessible: Guests must be able to get on and off the bus (3 large steps) about 3 times and be able to stand for about 20 minutes at a time. There’s also a short portion where you walk through the packing plant, which is flat level ground. There’s no room on vehicles to store walkers.
- Cards/Digital Payment are the only forms of payment accepted.
