A new dawn of live entertainment rises in Cirque du Soleil ‘Auana– a Hawai‘i-inspired production featuring a cast of powerful acrobats, hilarious comedians, talented musicians and singers, and profound hula dancers. The unparalleled ensemble brings together international and local talents to shine a fresh light on the spirit of Hawai‘i. ‘Auana had its World Premiere in December 2024 and is exclusively performing at the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel in a custom-designed intimate theater with seating for 784 guests.
The title, ‘Auana, stems from the loose translation to wander, veer off the beaten path or to embark on a journey. ‘Auana was selected to foreshadow the thrilling adventure that audience members will take part in, traversing through Hawai‘i’s unique mo‘olelo (stories) and stylized depictions of historic milestone events.
This spectacular show celebrates the essence of the islands through breathtaking artistry and awe-inspiring athleticism. Prepare to be captivated as a diverse ensemble of international and local talents delivers an exhilarating blend of acrobatics, laughter, mesmerizing hula, and soul-stirring music.
The compelling narrative of ‘Auana unfolds across eight chapters, inspired by the mo‘olelo (stories) of Hawai‘i. From the Polynesian migration, to the “golden age of tourism”, each act honors a deep connection to the ina (land), celebrating Hawai‘i’s rich heritage and cultural traditions.
